Setting Up Salesforce Inbox + Einstein Activity Capture

Welcome to Salesforce Inbox with Einstein Activity Capture! To help you get started, please follow the steps below to connect your Gmail account and begin utilizing the enhanced features for seamless email and calendar integration.

  1. Log into Salesforce:
    • Open your web browser and log into your Salesforce account using your credentials.
  2. Navigate to Einstein Activity Capture Settings:
    • Click on your avatar or initials in the top right corner to access the settings menu.
    • Select Setup from the dropdown menu.
  3. Access Einstein Activity Capture:
    • In the Quick Find box on the left side, type Einstein Activity Capture.
    • Click on Einstein Activity Capture Settings.
  4. Start the Connection Process:
    • In the Einstein Activity Capture Settings, locate the section for Connected Accounts.
    • Click on the Add Email Account button.
  5. Choose Gmail as Your Email Provider:
    • Select Gmail from the list of available email providers.
  6. Sign in to Your Gmail Account:
    • A new window will open prompting you to sign in to your Gmail account.
    • Enter your Gmail credentials and sign in. If you have multiple Gmail accounts, make sure to select the correct one.
  7. Grant Permissions:
    • You will be asked to grant Salesforce permission to access your Gmail account. Review the permissions and click Allow to proceed.
  8. Complete the Connection:
    • Once the permissions are granted, you will be redirected back to Salesforce.
    • You should see a confirmation message indicating that your Gmail account is successfully connected.
  9. Configure Sync Settings:
    • After connecting your account, you can configure your sync settings to determine what emails and events you want to capture.
    • Customize your preferences to suit your needs.
  10. Verify the Connection:
    • To ensure everything is set up correctly, send a test email or create a calendar event. Check Salesforce to confirm that the email and event are captured.
